Bio
After completing an AVCE qualifation in Information and Systems Technology at the
Eastbourne College of Arts and Technology and PETA Academy, Steve Gordon now works
as an IT Administrator for a medium sized engineering firm in Eastbourne.
Although interested in photography for many years he started to take it more seriously
in March 2005 when he purchased a mid-level Fuji S7000 digital camera. This fixed
lens camera had full manual controls and soon Steve had learnt the basic skills
and outgrew the camera a few months later.
Deciding that he wanted to take the hobby further Steve researched the higher end
dSLR cameras available on the market, before purchasing a semi-pro Canon EOS 20D
body. In the initial months Steve had become interested in photographing motorsports
and for this purpose the purchase included a Sigma 100-300 F4 lens.
In the time since Steve has continued to develop his interest and his skills. Favouring
motorsports, aviation and landscapes as his main subjects. Steve has also developed
an advanced knowledge of digital editing for his images using tools such as Adobe
Photoshop.
During the summer he spends his weekends either at airshows and displays around
the south, at motor races or in the East Sussex country side.
