Background

Sports photography has been an interest of mine since switching to digital photography and SLR equipment in 2006. While my main area of interest and expertise is motorsports the techniques and experience I have developed in that area are applicable to many other forms of fast action sport.

My experience to date includes rally and circuit based motorsports, speedway, extreme sports and football photography, but I’m always keen and willing to try other types of sport. Some of my motorsports and rally work has been published and I have provided images for the website of my local Eastbourne Eagles speedway team.

For the 2008/2009 season I will be working with Eastbourne Town Football Club to cover some of their home matches.

I use the latest professional Canon equipment which includes two digital SLR bodies and a range of high quality lenses that allow me to be flexible in my approach to photography. My goal is to create intense and exciting action images that fully demonstrate the sport to the viewer. I look for attention-grabbing angles and avoid the common approach of ‘freezing’ images by using slower shutter speeds to incorporate a degree of realistic motion blur (while maintaining a sharp overall image) to embody the action taking place.

Prints / Licensing

A full gallery of photographs will be made available after any event I attend and from there prints may be ordered and licensing of images for media / promotional use can be discussed.
